Is there a Need for Speed Underground 2 remaster?
No official remaster, remake, PS5 edition or Switch edition was on the store pages checked for this site.
The short answer
People search remastered, remake, Unreal Engine 5 and PS5 because trailers circulate. TheGamer covered a community trailer. That coverage is not an EA release announcement. I keep those as different facts.
EA's Need for Speed hub, checked alongside the research on 3 Nov 2026, does not list Underground 2 as a current or upcoming remaster. Steam and GOG searches in the same pass did not show a product page either.
What still exists
The 2004 game still exists as retail discs for Windows, PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube, plus handheld versions. PC mods such as texture packs change how the old game looks. They are not a remaster published by EA.
If a store page appears later, this status line should change. Until then I will not write that a PS5 or Switch version is in production.
