Plot
NFSU2 story, characters and ending
The career is one path through Bayview. There is no police chase and no branching free-roam plot.
What happens before Bayview
Wikipedia and the NFS wiki agree on the opening. After the player beats Eddie in Olympic City, a Hummer H2 driven by Caleb Reece wrecks the player's Skyline. Six months later the player flies into Bayview with a key to Rachel Teller's 350Z.
I am using both pages for that sequence. I am not adding scenes that only appear in a video recap.
Who is in Bayview
Rachel introduces the URL, sponsors and secret shops. Caleb's Wraiths try to stop the player. Nikki Morris leaves the Wraiths after losing URL events and joins Rachel and the player.
The story is told in comic-book cutscenes. The city can be driven freely, but the plot itself does not branch.

Ending
Caleb is revealed as the Hummer driver. He challenges the player in a Pontiac GTO and leaves Bayview after he loses. That is the ending the character pages and the game article describe. I am not writing a second ending.
