Windows
Need for Speed Underground 2 on PC
Disc retail, then patch 1.2, then widescreen. No current digital store page.
Install order I will stand behind
PCGamingWiki lists SafeDisc 4.60 and warns that it may fail from Vista onward. The supported order in the same guide is patch 1.2, the ThirteenAG widescreen fix, then Extra Options. Extra Options is the documented way to clear the disc-2 prompt on a PC without an optical drive.
Saves sit in %LOCALAPPDATA%\NFS Underground 2\. The registry config key is under Wow6432Node\EA Games\Need for Speed Underground 2. Original minimums were Windows 98 through XP, a Pentium III at 933 MHz, 256 MB of RAM and a 32 MB GPU.
What I will not link
I do not link a no-CD crack. If the disc check is the problem, the path above is the one the public guides describe. Widescreen numbers and resolution steps have their own pages so this one stays about install.
Video
Public widescreen-fix video. Playback starts after a click.
