Black screen, crash, or the game will not launch
Check the disc prompt first. If the window opens and stays black, then look at dgVoodoo2, DXVK and the speed2.exe notes.
Separate the causes
If the message is about disc 2, leave this page. If speed2.exe never creates a window, PCGamingWiki's launch section and the Linux notes about dgVoodoo2 or DXVK are the public trail.
I do not publish a single magic compatibility flag. Windows 10 and 11 builds differ, and a flag that fixes one GPU driver breaks the next. Record the driver and the wrapper you added.

FAQ
The game asks for disc 2. Is that a black screen?
No. Use the disc-2 page.
Does Linux use the same INI?
Linux notes add DXVK or dgVoodoo2. The widescreen INI is still a Windows dinput8 tool.
Should I reinstall first?
Patch 1.2 and a clean wrapper folder come before a full reinstall.
